Frequently Asked
Questions
Women often experience changes to their pelvic floor and overall skin tone due to hormone imbalance, menopausal transition, prior pelvic surgery, cancer, or childbirth trauma. These changes can lead to wrinkles, scarring, skin color changes, pain during sex, urinary urgency, and vaginal laxity or dryness. At Thrive, we are motivated to provide patients with alternate treatment options when conventional methods are not sufficient.

FAQs
Modalities
We offer two FDA-cleared treatment modalities to address patient goals. Both boost blood flow and stimulate collage production to revitalize tissue.
The MonaLisa uses CO2 laser energy to micro-ablate small columns of tissue to promote microscopic healing to reduce thinning and dryness.
Target:
-
Face: wrinkles, sun damage, large pores, loose skin.
-
Scar visibility (not intended for keloid scarring).
-
Pelvis: painful sex, vaginal dryness, urinary incontinence, lichen sclerosus.
The TempSure uses radiofrequency to gently heat deep tissue layers to restore firm support.
Target:
-
Face/neck: wrinkles, fine lines, and cellulite, tighten skin and deep tissue.
-
Pelvis: strengthen pelvic floor and reduce laxity from childbirth or aging, reduce stress urinary incontinence, pain during sex, tighten droopy labia.
Experience
All treatments are well-tolerated in-office with minimal downtime.
The pelvic laser is painless with sensation of mild vibration and the radiofrequency is described as a warm massage.
Treatments can take as little as 15 minutes for pelvic floor procedures and up to an hour for facial procedures.
Depending on treatment location topical numbing may be required and avoidance of sex and exercise for 3 to 7 days may be recommended.
Effects
Most treatments provided by both modalities require at least 3 sessions for full effectiveness 4 to 6 weeks apart. Most patients report improvement in their pelvic treated symptoms and sexual health after the 2nd or 3rd treatment.
Longevity:
-
TempSure Envi/FlexSure results are maintained for 6-12 months.
